We are pretty much full until October and taking bookings for Christmas 2022.

What to bring

Prior to drop off:

Please email a photo of your cat's up to date vaccination card prior to boarding, and details of the flea and worm treatment and dates they were last administered. Please advise of any additional information you feel we should be aware of.

Payment for your cat's stay must be made via the link emailed to you prior to drop off.

We are happy for you to bring a bed or blanket and toys from home to help your cat settle, if you wish. You can bring food if you want your cat to stay on a particular diet or if your cat is on prescription food. We are unable to accept cats on medication (except pain relief or dietary supplements)

When you book you are asked to select a time for drop off and collection. Please stick to these times as that is when we will be expecting you. If on arrival you can see another customer dropping off or collecting, please wait in your car until they are back in theirs.

On arrival we will open the reception door and will ask you to leave your cat in its box just inside the door. We will collect your cat and take it to its suite. You are welcome to follow us outside to see where your cat will be staying through the perspex windows but we are not allowing anyone inside the cattery due to space restrictions, since the covid pandemic. We are happy to send you a video tour of your cat's accommodation via Whatsap.

For collection, your cat will be placed in its box 5 mins prior to your time so if you are late your cat will be waiting in its box! If you are delayed, let us know 07989 063595

All 10 of our spacious suites are licensed for 4 cats from the same family with plenty of room to sleep, play, watch & eat.
  • 1 cat = £17.00 per day
  • 2 cats = £24.00 per day
  • 3 cats = £29.50 per day
  • 4 cats = £35.00 per day

  • Prices are inclusive of food, treats, toys, litter, and air conditioning or heating in an extra large suite
  • Price shown is per day and you will be charged both for your day of arrival and departure. A minimum charge amounting to 3 days boarding applies and this is your deposit. Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit is received. 
  • When booking, you will be asked to select a drop off and collection time within our normal opening hours. Please let us know if you are unable to stick to the times you have selected as soon as possible.
  • All pens are luxury sized capable of housing up to 4 cats from the same family; much more spacious than standard suites!
  • We provide James Wellbeloved, Purina One or Royal Canin Sensible dry cat food and Whiskas/Felix/Purina Gourmet/Sheba wet food at no extra cost but you are welcome to provide your own if you would prefer your cat to stay on his/her normal diet. We cannot provide prescription food but are happy to feed it - please bring enough for the duration of your cat/s stay. All feed is weighed and recorded daily.
  • Once your booking has been accepted you will be emailed a confirmation and total amount due. A deposit equal to 3 days confirms your booking (or the full amount if your arrival date is within 7 days of booking). Payment can be made securely by card by clicking on the link in the email and should be made within 7 days of booking to secure your dates.
  • The balance is required prior drop off and we will email you 48 hours prior to drop off with a link to pay the balance. If you need to cancel your booking, please refer to our Terms & Conditions.docx
Check Availability/Book
  • If you would like to check availability/book please click Check Availability. You will need to create an account if you are a new customer, existing customers can log in and their pet's details will be retrieved.
  • Enter the dates for your cat/s stay and your booking will be sent to us. Please note that if dates are unavailable the booking system will not allow you to select them! You can check availability at any time by selecting your dates without having to call to check.
  •  Do call/email if your dates are unavailable as we can sometimes move suites around to accommodate you.
  • You will receive a booking confirmation and invoice for the deposit by email. If you don't receive it, please check your Spam folder!
  • Your deposit secures your booking so please be aware that your booking is not confirmed until your deposit has been received. Bookings will only be held for 7 days before being released if we haven't received your deposit payment. Deposits are refundable if you cancel your booking 4 weeks or more prior to the start date.   • PLEASE ENSURE YOU INCLUDE VET DETAILS AND CONFIRM THAT VACCINATIONS ARE UP TO DATE WHEN YOU BOOK.  BOOKINGS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT THEM. Please also email a photo of your cat/s vaccination card so we can check their vaccines and update their records. We will also need to know what products you use for flea and worm treatment and when they were last administered.

Manual Directions:

  • From A418 travelling from Aylesbury towards Leighton Buzzard (5 miles from both towns) turn left sign posted Aston Abbotts and Cublington.
  • Continue into the village passing the thatched Royal Oak pub on your right, passing the bus stop and post box then take the next left at the village green sign posted "Weedon (gated road)". Keep left.
  • Pass the next 2 left hand turns (the first is The Green but there is no sign, the 2 second is Hunters Way.) You are now on Moat Lane.
  • After approx 150yds turn right into a farm track road sign posted for Norduck House and Abbotts View Farm. If you miss it you will go around a sharp bend to the left and through the gate of the gated road towards Weedon.
  • Continue down the track and Abbotts View Farm is the second right turn on your right (approx 350 yds) 
  • Beware: If you have an old garmin SatNav the post code will take you to a different Moat Lane in another village about 5 miles away!
  • From A413 Buckingham to Aylesbury road, turn signposted towards Aston Abbotts and Weedon. 
  • Follow the road, through Weedon village and out, continuing all the way through the gated road and up the hill towards Aston Abbotts. As you reach the top and the second gate the road bears right and the turn you need to take is immediately on the left. The signpost at the end says Norduck Farm and Abbbotts View Farm but isn't too visible from this direction.
  • Follow the farm track for about 350yds and take the second turning on the right into Abbotts View Farm

The cattery is on the left as you enter the farm, with parking immediately outside. Please remember to make an appointment to either view or drop off or collect. 
James, Jo and their daughters, Amy, Jess & Rosie, bought Abbotts View Farm in 2012 as 22 acres of meadow grass with planning permission for an agriculturally tied house. They built their eco house and moved in January 2013 and then filled the land with alpacas, rare breed sheep & pigs, goats, rabbits, ducks, guinea pigs and ponies. Animal welfare is their passion and all of the animals are treated with the utmost respect with attention paid to their living environment, ensuring there are plenty of opportunities for enrichment.

Abbotts View Farm Cattery has been designed and built with exactly the same principles in mind: Just 10 suites ensures that we get to know the cats who stay with us and each will be treated as the individuals they are; large suites big enough for a family of 4 ensures luxury and plenty of space; our cattery is situated in a prime position, so we can see it from our home, and our residents enjoy a full view of the farm and its comings and goings while bird feeders enhance their view .

The cattery has been designed and built to our exact specifications taking into consideration the requirements of an eco farm, and insulation has been increased dramatically from the standard design to ensure it stays cool in the summer, while thermostatically controlled heaters keep bedrooms warm in the winter. In 2020 we installed Air Conditioning which ensures the cattery stays cool, even on the hottest days. Suites are cleaned with pet friendly Anigene and steam cleaned between each stay. 

The Project was part funded by a grant from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. The aim was to build an off grid eco cattery and create jobs in the local community. Whilst the cattery is family run, we have employed staff to help on the farm to allow Jo to concentrate full time on the cattery.

Work started on Monday 6th March 2017. The suites were delivered by the cattery manufacturer, Lindee Lu on April 3rd and after a busy 3 months we welcomed our first guest on 20th July 2017. We are thrilled with what we have created - a calm, light space with a lovely atmosphere and amazing views of the farm and surrounding area.

In 2018 the Animal Welfare Licensing changed and all catteries became star rated. As we had built to the highest standards and sizes just the year before, the only change we had to make was to introduce opaque panels behind any shelves and at floor level, to provide privacy. As a result, we were awarded a 3 year 5 star licence from Aylesbury Vale District Council.
